Tele-Assessment and Access: Addressing Issues, but Creating New Ones
Too many individuals — particularly, children — do not have ready and easy access to the psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessments. These assessments are needed to qualify for accommodations and services, steer them toward necessary and beneficial interventions, and identify their specific needs.
Tele-assessment holds the potential to redistribute psychologist resources significantly, reach rural populations, and bolster services for overpopulated areas. However, it also brings with it several other accessibility issues. This presentation will discuss these issues in tele-assessment.
